The Big Sky
This series was made during a lovely few weeks on a fellowship residency at Ballinglen Arts Foundation in North Mayo. As I explored the coastline, I became aware that there seemed to be so much more sky over the west of Ireland. Paintings were percolated while walking Lacken Strand and the decadent dunes that surround the strand. The paintings - so full of sky - were a balm to make. It felt like time out to make and dream big.
