Inspired by a walk with my friend Siobhan in the dunes above Garretstown beach during the days between Christmas and new year.
Feeling the blow of crisp air and seeing the sparkle off the shore while taking in lung-fulls of air and having a laugh with a lovely friend was just the best tonic to blow off the Christmas stagnation and look forward to time to come.
The sea is always a touch stone for me and this painting is a lovely reminder to reset and begin again daily.
